LAVENDER - A RELAXATION TEA


Once we mentioned the flower tea in France, lavender is the most glorious among the others and it is a queen of the herbs.

Romans used lavender for bath and hence the word lavender comes from the latin word lavare, which means to wash.Lavender is an evergreen shrub with silvery grey foliage and blue purple flowers with a long stem. Even when pace on the lavender stems, it blooms the fragrance everywhere. Fourteenth century, King Charles VI like to sleep with pillow filled with lavender where it is good to improve one’s’ sleeping quality.


In sixteenth-century botanist, they called lavender is a kind of panacea where it is good for diseases such as stroke and various psychological problems. Traditionally, French will mix some fennel and cinnamon with lavender to treat jaundice and as a supplement for cardiovascular.


After a tiring day, have a cup of lavender tea at night could release stress and calm our mind. This herb has also been used as a remedy for a range of ailments from headache, insomnia and anxiety to depression and fatigue. You might add some honey for your preferences. There are many kinds of honey in France, lavender honey is my favourite one.In France, they think that lavender is good for cystitis, vaginitis and vaginal discharge. In addition, it is good for patient to drink lavender tea every morning in the recovery period.Besides, French put lavender in the cupboard to keep moths and other unwanted lodgers at bay, such as ants, silverfish and cockroaches.
